Looks excellent man... especially love the reflections on the cockpit.
Yeah deffo needs blurring... and maybe some darkening of the occlusion on the floor to ground the wheels a bit better (maybe render a floor occlusion pass separately to do this independently of the aircraft)
on the right track though man, nice improvement from the last rev.
I didn't actually put the Occlusion pass into photoshop (duh) i presumed the master beauty was everything included. Now to play with Shake @ ESC studios.
Excellent work Seb . The modeling & texture work is amazing . I even love the shader work , it really feels like its made of the correct material .
Personally I think the ground shadow is quite dark enough though . Too dark in fact if you compare it with the other planes ( they have small shadows , as it is a cloudy day , so there isn't a real defined shadow ) . The main problem in my eyes is that the black points aren't matched . The wheels are quite deep black & the plane shows a lot more color than than image ( more contrast ) , so the colors need to be clipped . & I agree , it definitely needs more blurring & of course noise . Also , as Lee would say , be careful of those CG straight lines ( quite obvious on the tail wings ) , but I think the blurring/pixalizing/noise will cover it .
But I have to say bro , well done . The plane looks amazing . I also love the attention to detail , like how the wheels are a bit flattened with the weight of the plane . I honestly can't wait to see the video . Please post it when you're done :) .
I think all that stuff can be fixed in Shake, I composited that all in photoshop quickly.
I believe Simon showed me how to colour pick certain shades in Shake and then apply it to the model shadow layer, problem is that being shown for 10 mins isn't the same as learning it. Blurring by 0.2 really helps set it in the scene also. We arn't compositors but it would be nice to see how to do it.

cheers dude, yeah I'll blur it in Shake.
ReplyDeleteLooks awesome mate. Loving the texture work.
ReplyDeletePanos suggestions would finish it off nicely I think. Occlusion Pass just for the floor and a touch more bluring and thats it wrapped up!
Good work sir.
yeah, cool
